MSR Hubba Hubba 2-Person Tent Reviews
10 of 12 people found the following review helpful The finest two person tent you can buy, May 1, 2009 By Jason the Argonaut (Northern Michigan) - See all my reviews This review is from: MSR Hubba Hubba Tent (Sports) MSR really perfected this design, which has yet to be surpassed by (nearly) any other tent manufacturer (possible exception: MSR Hubba Hubba HP 2-Person Tent). The hub pole is simple and lightweight, making set up a breeze. The fine mesh allows for great ventilation, further weight shavings, and excellent star gazing on nights without the rain fly. The coatings on both the fly and floor of the tent are very strong and ample for, dare I say, 'excessive' waterproofing. The interior walls are drawn nearly vertical to create a welcoming large space inside, complemented by two roomy vestibules for your gear and nice, bright colors to add a little cheer if you end up caught in your tent during a downpour. Fast and light set up is available if you know you can bank on good weather with an optional... Read more
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Great tent, September 18, 2010 By This review is from: MSR Hubba Hubba Tent (Misc.) I bought this tent for kayak camping in the Florida Keys, and for a backcountry backpacking trip into the wilds of southern Utah. The HubbaHubba is very light, doesn't take up too much pack space (REI Ridgeline 65) and sets up like a champ! The mesh is fantastic for stargazing, and was well appreciated out in the desert. In the higher elevations, It did not preform as well. I found it to be VERY cold in the tent with the fly up, so make sure you have a good bag to sleep in as this tent traps NO heat. But it handled high winds just fine, although the fly is VERY loud in gusty conditions and tough to sleep. So, if you are looking for a very lightweight tent for you and your gear this is it, but it does have some flaws.
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful It was great for a year and a half, September 25, 2010 By Robert Olsen (LOGAN, UT, US) - See all my reviews This review is from: MSR Hubba Hubba Tent (Misc.) I really enjoyed this tent for the past year and a half keep me warm and try during rain strom's. Super light weight and really easy to set up. Even my girl friend can do it :). The only thing I'm disappointed in is my poles bent after a while of using the tent. I'm not talking a little bend. I'm talking a good sized bow. I spent more then two hundred dollars on this tent and the last thing I want to happen is my pole bowing in. The last tent I had was a Kelty that I spent a little over a hundred on and used it for years and never had any issues with.
